RIGHT INNER CV BOOT IDENTIFICATION/INSTALLATION


1991 AA Models built between July 23, 1990 and December 1, 1990, with the GKN halfshafts, P/Ns 4511420, 4511474, 4511476, and 4511404 have two (2) locating grooves for boot installation. The boot installed (grey in color and shorter in length) during this time period, used the inboard locating groove for installation. The right inner CV boot, Service Part, P/N 4641182, (black in color), should be installed using the outboard groove (towards the outer joint) on a double grooved halfshaft.
