Electronic Vehicle Information Center Display Console:

On 1988-89 models, this system is a computer controlled monitor system, which displays messages on an overhead console. When the vehicle is started and no faults are present the display will indicate "MONITORED SYSTEMS OK". If the monitor detects a fault a tone will be sounded and component will be noted on the display.
