Vehicle and Parts Information
Vehicle ListFor each involved dealer, a listing of affected inventory vehicles invoiced to the dealer was enclosed with the above mentioned letter of October 20. The lists, arranged in Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) sequence, are for dealer reference in servicing involved vehicles.
Each Dodge or Chrysler-Plymouth dealer without a Vehicle List will receive an information copy of this letter by Compak Mail.
Parts
Parts packages, P/N C3940363, are being shipped free of charge to all involved dealers for service of affected vehicles. Each dealer to whom involved vehicles were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same location) will receive enough parts packages to service 100% of those vehicles, distributed in several shipments as parts become available. (See parts timing information, page 1.)
Each recall parts package contains the following components:

(2) Gasket, Valve Cover
(1) Gasket, Intake Plenum
(1) Gasket, EGR (California emissions only)
Also included in each package is an instruction summary for convenient reference by the servicing technician.
Note: Do not order any additional recall parts packages before you receive the final shipment as described above. Orders placed before that time will be rejected, to ensure adequate stock for the planned distributions.
