Customer Satisfaction Notification # 536 -- Quarter Window Motor
Models:
All 1990, 1991 and 1992 Model Year Chrysler LeBaron Convertible (AJ-Body) Vehicles Built Through September 13, 1991
The quarter window motor on involved vehicles may fail due to corrosion of an internal bearing. This is caused by water buildup from blockage of a drain hole in the rear quarter panel where the motor is mounted. To correct the condition, drain holes must be drilled in the sills below each side quarter window.
Five drain hole location templates for use in the service procedure are included with this letter by first class mail for each Chrysler-Plymouth and Dodge dealer.
In addition to the first class mail, all Chrysler-Plymouth and Dodge dealers will receive information copies of this letter by Compak Mail.
Important:
Some of the involved vehicles may still be in dealer stock. Be sure to complete the service on these vehicles before retail delivery.
