Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

Fuel Pressure Regulator:




REMOVAL
1. Fuel system pressure must be released prior to service. Service and Repair
2. Remove the fuel rail.
3. Remove 2 attaching bolts and remove fuel pressure regulator from fuel rail. Inspect O-ring for damage or wear and replace if necessary.
4. Loosen and remove fuel return hose.

INSTALLATION
1. Lube fuel pressure O-ring with clean engine oil prior to reinstallation. Press regulator into fuel rail, attach 2 mounting bolts and torque to 8.7 Nm (77 lb-in).
2. Install fuel return hose and torque to 1 Nm (10 lb-in).
3. After installation of fuel rail and all other components pressurize system and check for leaks. Fuel System Pressurizing Procedure
