Revised parts and service procedures are now available for repair of vehicles involved in this service requirement. Owner service requests previously delayed due to lack of parts can now be met.

Originally, instrument panel switch pod assemblies were supplied complete with switches installed. All available quantities of these parts were used up. At this time, additional supplies of switch pods without switches are available for dealer order. Dealers must transfer switches from the original switch pod for repair of affected vehicles.

The service is required to replace switch pods which have loose switches due to cracking of the plastic around the switch mounting screws.

Details of this service action are explained in the following sections.

Note:
No videotape of the revised service procedure will be provided. For removal/installation of the instrument panel switch pod assembly, refer to the original service procedure videotape included in the February, 1990 Master Tech program.


Vehicle List


No Vehicle lists will be provided with this recall supplement. Vehicle lists were distributed to involved dealers with the original notification. Dealers may identify involved vehicles using the original lists or DIAL System Function 70.

Important: No parts will be distributed for this recall supplement. Dealers must order the required parts at dealer cost as needed.
