Automatic lash adjusters are used, no adjustment is needed, Fig. 10.

FUNCTIONAL CHECK

1. Inserting a small wire through the air bleed hole in the rocker arm, Fig. 11, and very lightly push the auto adjuster ball check down.
2. While lightly holding check ball down, move rocker up and down to check for freeplay.
3. If no freeplay is present, replace adjuster. Do not disassemble the auto lash adjuster.
