Front Door: Service and Repair

Door Assembly:

1. Install door latch assembly with optional electric lock motor assembly attached. Secure latch to inner panel, leave motor loose.
2. Install outside handle assembly with key cylinder link and handle link into door handle opening.
3. Assemble linkages to latch.
4. Position outside handle to outer door panel, attach retainer bracket, and secure.
5. Install remote control and remote rod. Connect link to latch, secure remote to inner panel. Clip remote rod to anti-rattle clip.
6. Install rear lower glass channel into upper channel.
7. Secure to door inner panel.
8. Secure power lock motor to inner panel (where necessary).
9. Install glass run and weatherstrip assembly. Start at rear upper corner and attach along daylight opening, then snap retaining clips into the rear channel.
10. Position and attach outside belt moulding, starting at forward edge.
11. Install bell crank with lock knob link and attached lock knob and seal with bell crank to latch link. Index bell crank to inner panel and attach. Connect linkage to latch.
12. Install forward glass channel, place in front area of door.
13. Install prepositioned manual or electric regulator to door inner panel.
