Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

Disable airbag, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair. After procedure has been completed, rearm airbag system.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. On 1989 models, remove two screws securing bottom of console bezel, then lift bezel from console.
3. On 1990-92 models, remove two screws securing bottom of console bezel, then lift bezel from console.
4. On all models, remove two screws securing radio and pull radio away from console.
5. Disconnect electrical connectors and antenna lead, then remove radio.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
