CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION # 463 -- IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER


^ This notification is being expedited in advance of shipment of the required parts in order to alert dealers to the condition and to advise that listed vehicles should not be delivered until they have been corrected.


^ Involved dealers will receive 50% of required parts packages by

September 29, 1989. The remaining 50% will be shipped from facing depots the week of October 9.


Important: Do not order an additional parts before October 16. Orders placed before that date will be rejected, to ensure adequate stock for the initial distributions.

^ Tumblers for coding the lock cylinders are provided in each parts package. Eight extra tumblers are also provided with this letter in the event additional tumblers are needed.


^ Each replacement ignition lock cylinder must be coded to fit the existing ignition key.


^ Only 1990 Model Year Dodge Daytona and Chrysler LeBaron cars built from the start of the 1990 model year through Month-Day-Hour (MDH)

08-03-08 are involved in this service requirement.
