Recall - Cylinder Head Cover Gasket Leaks: Parts

Parts packages, PN C3940364, are being shipped free of charge to all involved dealers for service of affected vehicles. Each dealer to whom involved vehicles were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same location) will receive enough parts packages to service 75% of those vehicles.

Important:

^ Initial parts distributions will be made in separate shipments prior to owner notification for stages 1 and 2 of the recall.

^ Parts will be available for dealer order after distribution and dealer notification for stage 2. Orders placed before that time will be rejected, to ensure adequate stock for the initial distributions.

^ No distribution will be made after stage 2. Order as needed for subsequent repairs.

Dealers to whom no involved vehicles were invoiced will each receive 10 parts packages.

Each recall parts package contains the following components:

(1) Cylinder Head Cover
(2) Cylinder Head Cover End Seal
(4) Stud with Washer
(5) Screw with Washer

Also included in each package is an instruction summary for convenient reference by the servicing technician.

Note: RTV sealant, which is not included in the parts package, is also required to complete this service. Order RTV sealant separately under PN 4318025. There is enough sealant in each tube to complete two vehicles.
