System Operational Test
Fig. 27 Installing Pressure Gauge:
1. Remove air line from dryer fitting and right shock absorber. Install a 0-300 psi pressure gauge inline, as shown.
2. Cycle ignition switch from OFF to ON.
3. Apply a load to rear suspension of 275-300 lbs. Allow system to fill until gage reads 70-90 psi.
NOTE: If the compressor is permitted to run until it reaches its maximum output pressure, the vent solenoid valve will function as a relief valve, resulting in a release off air, when compressor shuts Off.
4. With load still applied, disconnect Control Module (CM) wiring harness connector, then remove applied load. Vehicle should rise.
5. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
6. Observe if pressure leaks down or holds steady after 15 minutes.
7. If system will not inflate beyond 50 psi, a severe leak may be indicated. Also check for pinched pressure line between compressor and shocks.
