Control Module
The Air Suspension Control Module (ASCM) is an electronic device that controls the ground circuits for the compressor relay, compressor exhaust solenoid valve, front and rear solenoid valves. A microprocessor inside the ASCM limits the maximum compressor pump operation to 170 to 190 seconds. This prevents damage to the air suspension system. To prevent excessive cycling between compressor and exhaust solenoid circuits during normal ride conditions, a 12 to 18 second delay is built into the microprocessor logic.System operation is inhibited when any door is open, when the trunk is open, when the brake lamp switch is applied, when the throttle is more than half open, when the charging system fails, when the engine RPM falls below 600, and during high speed cornering activities.
