Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

Intermittent Wiper Switch

On all models equipped with Driver Airbag Restraint System, it is necessary to remove and isolate negative (-) battery cable from vehicle battery. Refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair, to disable airbag before proceeding.
This procedure is necessary to avoid accidental deployment of airbag which may cause damage or personal injury.

The wiper switch is part of the multi-function switch assembly. With wiper switch failure, refer to Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Wheel/Service and Repair for the removal of steering wheel and switch.
