Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair
REMOVALAutomatic Idle Speed (AIS) Motor Removed:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the Automatic Idle Speed (AIS) motor wiring connector.
3. Remove the mounting screws (2), and remove the AIS motor from throttle body, making sure the O-ring is still on the AIS motor.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: If the pintle measures more than 1 in. (25 mm), it must be retracted by using the "AIS Motor Actuator Test" prior to being installed.
1. Install new AIS motor using a new O-ring.
2. Install the retaining screws, torqueing them to 17 lb-in (2 Nm).
3. Connect the AIS motor wiring connector.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
