Automatic Temperature Control (ATC)
FUNCTIONATC Computer Panel:
ATC Panel Display Symbols:
The automatic temperature control (ATC) system allows the operator to regulate the passenger compartment environment by programming the desired temperature, air flow direction and blower speed into the computer that is built into the control panel. The operator may also select an AUTO mode feature in which the computer would select the blower speed and air flow direction. Refer to the Operating Instructions and Product Information Manual for proper operation.
When the temperature button is held in for five seconds after reaching 18°C (65°F) with the snowflake illuminated, the system goes into a maximum cool recirculated air lock-in mode and will not regulate the temperature until the system is turned off or indicated temperature setting is raised.
SPECIAL FUNCTION
A self test and diagnosis mode has been programmed into the computers permanent memory. If the computer detects any failure within the system, a flashing failure code (1-18) will appear on the display. A full (no failure) test system will last approximately 30 to 50 seconds. To start the test cycle, depress the Auto, floor, and defrost buttons at the same time. After each failure code is recorded (if any), depress the "panel" button to resume test cycle. At the end of the test cycle, the display will return to the setting before the test was started.
