Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Description and Operation

Radiator cooling fan control is based on coolant temperature and A/C head pressure as follows:

1. Turns on when coolant temperature reaches 210°F and shuts off when coolant temperature cools down to 200°F regardless of vehicle speed.

On Models With A/C

2. Turns on when A/C compressor head pressure reaches 220 psi and shuts off when head pressure lowers to 160 psi.
