Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect 6-way connector from stop lamp switch pigtail.
2. Using an ohmmeter, working from the switch side of the connector, with brake pedal released, check for continuity between the dark blue wire with red tracer, and the yellow wire with red tracer.
3. Check for continuity between the white wire with pink tracer and the white wire.
4. Check that no continuity exists between pink and white wires.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 with brake pedal depressed. The results should be opposite.
6. If proper results are not obtained, the stop lamp switch must be replaced.
