Bladder Accumulator

REMOVAL

1) Depressurize the accumulator by pumping the brake pedal a minimum of 40 times as described earlier in this section

WARNING: FAILURE TO DE-PRESSURIZE THE HYDRAULIC ACCUMULATOR PRIOR TO PERFORMING THIS OPERATION, MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO PAINTED SURFACES OF THE VEHICLE.

2) Loosen accumulator fitting at the hydraulic assembly and remove accumulator from the hydraulic assembly.

INSTALLATION

1) Reinstall the accumulator onto the hydraulic assembly and torque to 40 N-m (30 ft.lbs.)

2) Turn on ignition and let hydraulic system pressurize checking for leakage at the hydraulic assembly to accumulator fitting.
