Brake Hose/Line: Service and Repair

Early Production

REMOVAL
1. Remove pump/motor. See Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Antilock Brake System/Pump, Brake Fluid/Service and Repair.
2. Cut the two tie straps that secure hoses and wiring harness to pump mounting bracket. Open bracket tabs enough to remove wiring harness.
3. Remove banjo bolt from pump/motor and remove hose assemblies.

INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate rubber O-ring on low pressure hose, and two steel O-rings on high pressure hose with brake fluid.
2. Position hose assemblies on pump/motor and install banjo bolt.
3. Carefully route wiring harness along side hoses.

4. Install two tie straps around hoses and wiring harness.
5. Install pump/motor assembly, see PUMP/MOTOR ASSEMBLY.
