Functional Check

Functional Check Diagnosis Chart:

The VISUAL INSPECTION should be performed before the FUNCTIONAL CHECK. If the condition is not resolved by the VISUAL INSPECTION, the FUNCTIONAL CHECK should then be performed. The FUNCTIONAL CHECK may lead to several different test methods and various types of diagnostic charts. Due to the fact that Fault Codes are erased upon key-off, it may be necessary to test drive the vehicle in an attempt to set and display any Fault Codes which may be present.
