Late Production
1. De-pressurize hydraulic accumulator, refer to Brakes and Traction Control/Brakes/Antilock Brake System/Accumulator/Service and Repair Failure to de-pressurize the hydraulic accumulator, may result in personal injury, or damage to painted surfaces.2. Remove fresh air intake ducts.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors from the pump/motor assembly and any additional connectors near pump/motor assembly.
4. Disconnect high and low pressure hoses from hydraulic assembly, then cap spigot on reservoir.
5. Disconnect pump/motor electrical connector from engine mount, then remove pump heat shield attaching bolt from front of pump bracket.
6. Remove front heat shield, then lift pump/motor assembly out of vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install, lubricate O-rings on high and low pressure hose connections to pump/motor assembly with brake fluid prior to installation.
