Power Door Lock Actuator: Service and Repair

Remove the door trim panel(s) to gain access.

Removal
Move door water shield away from lower rear corner of door. Disconnect the wire plug from the door solenoid. Remove the door solenoid link from the door latch. Remove the solenoid mounting bracket pop rivets by drilling the rivet heads with a suitable sized drill bit. Remove the door solenoid through the access opening in the door.

Installation
Insert door solenoid through the door access opening. Align solenoid mounting bracket with inside door panel and install new pop rivets or matching nut, bolt, and washer sets. Connect the solenoid link to the door latch. Reconnect the wiring plug, and retest system for proper operation. Secure door water shield in original position and reinstall door trim panel(s).
