DISCUSSION
A mid-year parts revision has been made to the door lock cylinders and the door lock disarm switches. Door lock cylinders have an anti-rotation finger on them which engages tabs on the security alarm disarm switch. The new lock cylinder has a shorter finger while the new disarm switch has longer tabs.
The disarm switch part numbers are listed below. Lock cylinder part numbers remain the same.
OLD TYPE NEW TYPE

AC, AY 4373734/5 4565151/2
AJ 4373838/9 4565153/4

When servicing these components, it is important to comply with these procedures:
FIGURE 1:
1. Replacement of a lock cylinder
On vehicles equipped with an old type disarm switch, the replacement lock cylinder must be an old type lock cylinder (Figure 1). If old type lock cylinders are not available, then the lock cylinder and the disarm switch must both be replaced as a set with new type design.
FIGURE 2:
If the vehicle is equipped with a new type disarm switch, the replacement lock cylinder can be an old or a new type lock cylinder. (Figure 2)
FIGURE 3:
2. Replacement of a disarm switch
On vehicles equipped with a new type lock cylinder the replacement disarm switch must be a new type (Figure 3).
FIGURE 4:
If the vehicle is equipped with an old type lock cylinder, the replacement switch may be an old type disarm switch or a new type disarm switch. If you are not sure which type of lock cylinder is on the vehicle, the replacement disarm switch must be a new type (Figure 4).
