9 Fuel Control System For Fault Codes
Perform No Start Test 1 before proceeding.
1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool and enter into ``Read Fault Data'' test.
2. If no fault messages are displayed, repair open in dark green/black wire between auto shutdown and coil, then proceed to Test 16.
3. If fault message is ``Radiator Fan Relay'' with ``Coolant Voltage High,'' ``TPS Voltage High'' and ``MAP Voltage Too High,'' repair open in black/light blue wire to terminal No. 4 of 60-way connector, then proceed to Test 16.
4. If fault message is ``ASD Relay Circuit,'' proceed to Test 12.
5. If fault message is ``Ign Reference Signal,'' proceed to Test 11.
6. If fault message is ``Z1 Voltage Sense,'' proceed as follows:
a. If ``ASD Relay Circuit'' message is also displayed, then proceed to Test 12.
b. If ``ASD Relay Circuit'' message is not also displayed, proceed to Test 13.
7. If fault message is ``FJ2 Voltage Sense,'' which may also be shown with ``ASD Relay Circuit,'' proceed to Test 14.
8. If fault message is ``Sync Pick-Up Signal,'' proceed to Test 15.
