2 Fuel Pressure TPS & Power Supply to Injector
Perform No Start Test 1 before proceeding.
1. Turn ignition switch Off, then loosen gas cap to release any fuel tank pressure.
2. Disconnect injector wiring harness, then connect a jumper wire between terminal 1 of injector harness and ground.
3. Connect a jumper wire at terminal 2 of injector harness, then touch the other end to positive battery terminal for no longer than 5 seconds. Remove jumper wires.
4. Install a fuel pressure gauge to fitting on fuel rail, then crank engine for at least 7 seconds and observe pressure gauge.
5. If pressure is less than 40 psi, proceed to Test 4.
6. If pressure is at least 40 psi, connect diagnostic read-out tool, enter into ``Read Sensor Voltages'' test and select ``Throttle Position.''
7. Ensure throttle is at idle position, then observe diagnostic read-out tool.
8. If voltage is above 1.5 volts, replace throttle position sensor, then proceed to Test 16.
9. If voltage is below 1.5 volts, enter into ``Actuate Outputs'' test and select ``Fuel Injector(s) #1.''
10. Disconnect fuel injector harness 6-way connector and inspect both sides of connector for any pin damage.
11. If terminals are damaged, replace or repair as necessary, then proceed to Test 16.
12. If terminals are satisfactory, press Volt/Ohm button on diagnostic read-out tool, touch volt probe to dark green/black wire at injector 6-way connector and observe display.
13. If voltage is over 10 volts, proceed to Test 3.
14. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in dark green/black wire of 6-way connector of wiring harness, then proceed to Test 16.
