Compressor Clutch Relay: Description and Operation

The air-conditioning cut out relay is wired in series with the A/C dampened pressure switch and A/C switch. When the throttle position sensor sends a wide open throttle signal to the SMEC or low engine RPM is detected, the relay is energized and air conditioning clutch engagement is prevented.
