NS-13E Checking For A Shorted Distributor Pick-Up

Complete No Start Test 13, Step D, before proceeding.

1. With ignition switch in Off position, disconnect SMEC 60-way electrical connector.
2. Connect negative voltmeter lead to ground, then turn ignition switch to On position.
3. Contact positive voltmeter lead to terminal No. 52 of the 60-way SMEC electrical connector.
4. If voltmeter reading is at least 8 volts, replace distributor pick-up.
5. If voltmeter indicates no voltage, proceed to Test 13 step F.
