NS-13D Checking For 8 Volt Supply

Complete No Start Test 13, Step C, before proceeding.

1. With ignition switch in Off position, disconnect SMEC 60-way electrical connector.
2. Connect negative voltmeter lead to ground, then turn ignition switch to On position.
3. Contact positive voltmeter lead to terminal No. 52 of the 60-way SMEC electrical connector.
4. If voltmeter reading is at least 8 volts, replace SMEC.
CAUTION: Before replacing the SMEC, check the N6 terminal in cavity No. 52 to make sure it is not damaged causing a poor connection.
5. If voltmeter indicates no voltage, proceed to Test 13 step E.
