NS-10D Check 1 & 2 Control Wire For an Open Circuit

Complete No Start Test 10, Step C, before proceeding.

1. Place ignition switch in Off position.
2. Disconnect SMEC 14-way electrical connector, then connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 9 of connector and white wire terminals of No. 1 and No. 2 injector electrical connectors.
3. If ohmmeter does indicate continuity, replace SMEC.
CAUTION: Before replacing the SMEC, check the Y11 terminal in cavity No. 9 of the 14-way connector to make sure it is not spread apart causing a poor connection.
4. If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, check wiring from terminal No. 5 (white wire) of 14-way electrical connector to injector for an open circuit.
