DR-7A Fault Code 24-Throttle Position Sensor Circuit

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step A before proceeding.

1. With diagnostic read-out tool connected to engine test connector, disconnect throttle position sensor connector.
2. Place system in Sensor Test Mode 05.
3. If display reads between 4 and 5 volts, proceed to Test 7 step B.
4. If display reads zero volts, replace SMEC.
NOTE: Before replacing the SMEC, make sure the K7 orange/dark blue wire at cavity No. 22 of the engine control module 60-way connector is not shorted to ground.
