DR-5A Fault Code 22-Coolant Sensor Circuit

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step A before proceeding.

1. With diagnostic read-out tool connected to engine test connector, turn ignition switch Off, then disconnect coolant sensor connector.
2. Place system in Sensor Test Mode 04.
3. If display reads 00°, proceed to Test 5 step B.
4. If display reads 260°, replace SMEC.
NOTE: Before replacing the SMEC, make sure the K10 tan/white wire at cavity No. 3 of the engine control module 60-way connector is not shorted to ground.
