DR-20B Checking Spark Advance

Complete Driveability Test 20, Step A before proceeding.

This test must be performed with engine warm.

1. With tachometer and timing light connected, air cleaner removed and engine fully warm, connect coolant temperature sensor electrical connector. Turn engine off and restart. Check engine lamp on instrument panel must go off.
2. If timing is 20°---42°, proceed to Test 21.
3. If timing is not 20°---42°, replace SMEC.
