DR-1P Failures Caused By Wiring &/or Connectors

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step A before proceeding.

Since most intermittent failures are caused by faulty wiring and connectors, problem must be simulated to pinpoint fault. ATM and Sensor Test Modes can be used to accomplish this.
1. To diagnose the following intermittent fault codes, the corresponding ATM Test Mode should be entered:
Code 25, Mode 03;
Code 26, Mode 02;
Code 27, Mode 02;
Code 31, Mode 07;
Code 33, Mode 05;
Code 35, Mode 04;
Code 36, Mode 11;
Code 37, Mode 10;
Code 42, Mode 06;
Code 43, Mode 01;
Code 45, Mode 11.
Once the test mode has been entered, move all connectors and wires in the circuit until the fault is detected and the test is interrupted.
2. To diagnose the following intermittent fault codes, the corresponding Sensor Test Mode should be entered:
Code 14, Mode 08;
Code 22, Mode 04;
Code 23, Mode 03;
Code 24, Mode 05.
Note when checking fault Code 14, 10 inches of vacuum must be applied to MAP sensor.
Once the test mode has been entered, move all connectors and wires in the circuit until the fault is detected and the read-out tool display changes.
