DR-1M AIS Motor Wires at the SMEC 60-Way Connector

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step J before proceeding.

1. Place ignition switch in Off position, connect AIS motor electrical connector.
2. Disconnect 60-way electrical connector from SMEC, then connect an ohmmeter between terminal Nos. 17 and 18.
3. If ohmmeter indicates continuity, replace SMEC.
CAUTION: Before replacing the SMEC, check the N2 and N4 terminals in cavities No. 17 and 18 of the 60-way connector to make sure they are not damaged causing a poor connection.
4. If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, check wiring from terminal Nos. 17 and 18 to AIS motor for an open circuit.
