DR-1K AIS Motor Circuit at SMEC 60-Way Connector

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step I before proceeding.

1. Place ignition switch in Off position, then connect AIS motor electrical connector.
2. Disconnect engine control module 60-way electrical connector, then connect an ohmmeter between terminal Nos. 19 and 20.
3. If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, check for open circuit in wiring between terminal No. 18 or 19 of 60-way connector and AIS motor.
4. If ohmmeter does not indicate continuity, replace SMEC.
CAUTION: Before replacing the SMEC, check the terminal in cavities No. 18 and 19 of the 60-way connector to make sure they are not damaged causing a poor connection.
