DR-1J Automatic Idle Speed Motor Signal

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step I before proceeding.

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector, then disconnect electrical connector from automatic idle speed control motor and place system in ATM Test Mode 03.
2. Connect a voltmeter between AIS motor electrical connector brown/white and yellow/black wire terminals.
3. If voltmeter cycles every 4 seconds, SMEC and wiring are satisfactory, replace AIS motor.
CAUITON: Before replacing the idle motor, check the terminals of the connector to make sure they are not damaged causing a poor connection.
4. If voltmeter is not cycling, proceed to Test 1 step L.
