DR-1I Automatic Idle Speed Motor Operation

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step C before proceeding.

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine test connector, then connect MAP sensor electrical connector. Ensure read/hold switch is in read position.
2. Connect a tachometer to engine, then start engine.
3. Disconnect coolant sensor connector. Move read/hold switch to hold position, then press read/hold switch so that read is displayed.
4. If engine speed increases to approximately 1500 RPM, proceed to Test 1 step N.
5. If engine speed does not increase, proceed to Test 1 step J.
