DR-14 Fault Code 44 Fused J2 Circuit

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step A before proceeding.

1. Place ignition switch in Off position, then disconnect 60-way electrical connector from SMEC.
2. Connect a voltmeter between terminal No. 12 of 60-way electrical connector and ground.
3. Place ignition switch in Run position.
4. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage, replace SMEC.
CAUTION: Before replacing the SMEC make sure the K14 terminal in cavity No. 12 of the 60-way connector is not damaged causing a poor connection.
5. If voltmeter indicates no voltage, check wiring from terminal No. 12 for an open circuit.
