DR-12B Wastegate Solenoid Control Wire

Complete Driveability Test 1, Step A before proceeding.

1. Turn ignition switch Off, then disconnect SMEC 60-way electrical connector and connect a voltmeter between terminal No. 39 and ground.
2. Turn ignition switch to Run position.
3. If voltmeter reads battery voltage, replace SMEC.
CAUTION: Before replacing the SMEC, check the Y6 terminal in cavity No. 39 to make sure it is not damaged causing a poor connection.
4. If voltmeter does not read battery voltage, locate and repair open in wire between terminal No. 39 and solenoid assembly.
