7D Checking Ignition Coil Primary Windings

1. With diagnostic read-out tool connected to engine test connector, place ignition switch in the Off position.
2. Disconnect wire from ignition coil negative terminal.
3. Connect an analog voltmeter between ignition coil negative terminal and ground.
4. Place system in ATM test mode code 01.
5. If voltmeter reading is above 10 volts, proceed to step E.
6. If voltmeter reading is between 0 and 2 volts, replace ignition coil.
