DR-2E Checking 5 Volt Supply to MAP Sensor
*** UPDATED BY TSB #18-61-86
1. Place ignition switch in Run position, thendisconnect MAP sensor connector.
2. Connect a digital voltmeter to violet/white wire of MAP sensor harness connector and ground.
3. If voltmeter is reading at least 4 volts, replace MAP sensor.
NOTE: Before replacing the MAP sensor, check the terminals in the harness connector to make sure they are not spread apart causing a poor connection.
4. If voltmeter indicates 0 volts, repair the violet/white wire for an open circuit to the logic module. Also check the terminal in cavity No. 1 of the logic module white connector to make sure it is not crushed causing a poor connection.
