J-Body 2-Door (Chrysler LeBaron Coupe)CAUTION: THIS PACKAGE IS ONLY FOR DEALER INSTALLATION IN 1987 AND LATER MODELS LISTED ABOVE. DO NOT ATTEMPT INSTALLATION IN ANY OTHER VEHICLE. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED PARTS.

Upper Rear Shoulder Belt Installation
1. From inside of trunk, locate the 3/8" hole (9.5 mm) in the hinge support. (Figure 16, View "A") Drill a 1/8" (3.18 mm) pilot hole up through the center of the 3/8" hole and through the shelf panel and shelf trim. Drill left and right sides.
2. Remove shelf trim panel. Locate the 1/8" pilot holes in the shelf panel and trim panel/silencer. Cut away a 2" (50 mm) diameter circle of silencer material at each hole.
3. Enlarge the 1/8" holes in the shelf trim panel to 1" (25 mm).
4. Enlarge the holes in the metal shelf panel and hinge support to 7/16" (11.11 mm).
5. Reinstall shelf trim panel.

6. Install upper shoulder belt PN 4476254 using the bronze colored bolt, PN 6031217 (Figure 15) - (K-17 is on the bolt head). The white label on the seat belt should face down.
7. As shown in Figure 15, insert bolt through seat belt anchor plate. Install washer, PN 6100129, on the bolt.
8. Insert the bolt and washer through the hole in the shelf trim (Figure 15). The washer must go through the trim and contact the metal shelf panel. From the trunk, install flange nut, PN 152477. Tighten nut securely to 350 inch pounds torque (Figure 16).
9. Install trim cover, PN 4476258. Slide it over the seat belt anchor plate and bolt.
10. Repeat Steps 6 through 9 for the other side.
Lower Rear Shoulder Belt Installation
1. Remove the rear seat cushion and the attaching bolts (one per side) for the lower inner lap seat belts (Figure 15).
NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE OR REARRANGE THE EXISTING SEAT BELTS.
2. Discard the existing bolts and substitute the red colored bolts, PN 6031216, in Step 3 (K-15 is on the bolt head).
3. Install lower shoulder belts, PN 4476257, on top of the existing lower inner seat belts and tighten the new bolts to 350 inch pounds torque (Figure 15). The white label on the seat belt should face down. Reinstall seat cushion.
CAUTION: CHECK THAT BOTH THE LAP AND SHOULDER BELTS LATCH AND UNLATCH PROPERLY AND ARE INSTALLED AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 15. MAKE SURE THAT THE SEAT BELTS DO NOT CONTACT ANY SHARP EDGES THAT COULD CUT THE WEBBING.
H-Body 4-Door (Dodge Lancer and Chrysler LeBaron GTS)
CAUTION: THIS PACKAGE IS ONLY FOR DEALER INSTALLATION IN 1985 AND LATER MODELS LISTED ABOVE. DO NOT ATTEMPT INSTALLATION IN ANY OTHER VEHICLE. FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED PARTS.

Upper Rear Shoulder Belt Installation
1. Remove quarter trim panel.
2. Remove silencer material from the trim panel in area approximately 7" from lower rear corner of window opening and find the raised ring on the under surface (Figure 18).
3. Drill a 1/8" (3.18 mm) pilot hole in center of raised ring. Then enlarge the hole to 3/4" (19.05 mm) - (Figure 18).

4. Locate the three attaching holes in the quarter panel inside sheetmetal (Figure 17). These holes are in the first panel only and must be drilled through the second layer of metal.
5. Drill a 1/2" (12.5 mm) hole through each existing 1/2" hole and a 9/16" (13.7 mm) hole through the existing middle 9/16" hole (Figure 17).
6. Insert mounting bracket reinforcement through access hole in quarter inner panel and line it up with the holes in the panel (Figure 17).
7. While holding the bracket reinforcement in place, install the mounting bracket using two bolts, PN 6031484, (K-22 on bolt head) Tighten to 350 inch pounds torque (Figure 17).
8. Reinstall the quarter trim panel.
9. Install upper shoulder belt, PN 4476254, using the bronze colored bolt, PN 6031217, (K-17 is on the bolt head). White label on the seat belt should face inside of car. Tighten bolt securely to 350 inch pounds torque (Figure 17).
10. Install trim cover, PN 4476258. Slide it on the seat belt anchor plate and bolt (Figure 17).
11. Repeat Steps 1 through 10 for the other side.
Lower Rear Shoulder Belt Installation
1. Remove the attaching bolts (one per side) for the lower inner lap seat belts (Figure 17).
NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE OR REARRANGE THE EXISTING SEAT BELTS.
2. Discard the existing bolts and substitute the red colored bolts PN 6031216 in Step 3 (K-15 is on the bolt head).
3. Install lower shoulder belts, PN 4476257, on top of the existing lower inner seat belts. Tighten the new bolts to 350 inch pounds torque. The white label on the seat belt should face down (Figure 17).
CAUTION: CHECK THAT BOTH THE LAP AND SHOULDER BELTS LATCH AND UNLATCH PROPERLY AND ARE INSTALLED AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 17. MAKE SURE THAT THE SEAT BELTS DO NOT CONTACT ANY SHARP EDGES THAT COULD CUT THE WEBBING.
