5A Checking Fuel Pump

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine harness connector.
2. Turn ignition switch to Run position and press ATM button on read-out tool.
3. If fuel pump is running, check the following:
a. All fuel lines for kinks, restrictions or leaks.
b. A plugged fuel filter.
c. Contaminated fuel.
4. If fuel pump does not run, proceed to Test 5 step B.
