DR-15E Sensor Calibration MAP Sensor
This test must be performed with engine cold.
1. With diagnostic read-out tool connected to engine harness connector and engine in a ``cold'' condition, place system in Sensor Test Mode 08. Divide reading on display by ten for actual voltage.
2. Disconnect vacuum hose from MAP sensor and connect an auxiliary vacuum supply to MAP sensor.
3. Apply five inches of vacuum and record voltage displayed on read-out tool, then apply 20 inches of vacuum and record voltage displayed.
4. Subtract voltage at 20 inches from voltage at five inches to get voltage difference.
5. If read-out tool shows an uninterrupted change of voltage between 5 and 20 inches of vacuum, or if voltage difference is 1.1---1.4 volts, repair vacuum line to MAP sensor for a restriction.
6. If read-out tool shows an interrupted change of voltage between 5 and 20 inches of vacuum, or if voltage difference is not between 1.1 and 1.4 volts, replace MAP sensor.
