Ball Joint: Service and Repair

LOWER BALL JOINT

Ball Joint & Lower Control Arm are replaced as an assembly.

REPLACE

1. Remove stabilizer bar and strut bar attaching bolts.
2. Disconnect tie rod from knuckle arm.
3. Remove MacPherson strut as outlined.
4. Remove lower control arm and knuckle arm from crossmember, then the ball joint from the knuckle arm using tool No. MB990635.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
