DR-1D Brake Switch Input Circuit to Logic Module
1. Place ignition switch in the Off position.
2. Disconnect black electrical connector from logic module.
3. Connect voltmeter between terminal No. 13 of logic module black electrical connector and ground.
4. Place ignition switch in the Run position, then depress brake pedal and note voltmeter reading.
5. If voltmeter reading is within 1 volt of battery voltage, replace logic module.
CAUTION: Before replacing the logic module check terminal in cavity No. 13 of the blue connector to make sure it is not crushed causing a poor connection.
6. If voltmeter indicates 0 voltage, check for defective brake switch. Also check for an open circuit in voltage supply circuit to brake switch. If switch and voltage supply circuit are satisfactory, check for open circuit in wiring between brake switch and terminal No. 13 of the logic module black electrical connector.
