DR-14B Alternator Field Control to Power Module

1. Place ignition switch in the Off position.
2. Connect the power module 10 way electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the power module 12 way connector.
4. Connect a voltmeter between the F2 terminal on the alternator and ground.
NOTE: The alternator field terminals (F1 and F2) of the engine wiring harness are interchangeable. Therefore, it will be necessary to identify which one is F1 (ignition switch feed) and which one is F2 (field control to the power module) before performing the test.
5. Turn the ignition switch to thhe Run postion.
6. If voltmeter reading is within 1 volt of battery voltage, proceed to step C.
7. If voltmeter reading is 0 to 1 volt, replace power module.
