DR-24A Checking Basic Ignition Timing

1. Connect a tachometer and a timing light to engine, then start engine and allow to reach operating temperature.
2. Disconnect engine coolant temperature sensor. Ensure power loss lamp on instrument panel illuminates.
3. Check basic timing. If basic timing is within 2° of specification, proceed to step B.
4. If basic timing is not within 2° of specification, adjust ignition timing.
