DR-23 Checking Secondary Ignition System

1. Connect suitable engine analyzer to engine, then start engine and let idle speed stabilize for two minutes.
2. Test secondary ignition system per equipment manufacturer's recommended procedure and proceed as follows:
a. If secondary ignition system performs satisfactorily, proceed to Test 24.
b. If secondary ignition system does not perform satisfactorily, check system and repair as necessary.
CAUTION: Make sure ignition coil output is checked in this testing. Open circuit secondary voltage should be at least 25,000 volts.
